Notes

HER: One of two, possibly three, hut circles on the moderate west-facing slope above the left bank of the River Mardle. This third, possible, hut consists of coursed boulder and rubble walls 0.6m wide and 0.5m high enclose a roughly circular area 2.0m in diameter with a possible entrance in the south side. It is not certain whether this is a small hut circle or an elaborate clearance cairn relating to the medieval or later exploitation of this area.
